At the beginning, Yungshin often encouraged employees to exercise by participating in Yungshin Cup. Starting from 1974, Yungshin Cup gradually grew from a local event into a nationwide sports event. At that time, the government did not implement two days off per week; however, the founder requested every colleague to stop working and participate in outdoor activities after 3pm every Saturday. As more and more colleagues played volleyball, they started to organize contests to compete with each other and develop teamwork.

In 1970s, there was no international volleyball membership, but volleyball was quite popular in Taiwan. Held in Central Taiwan, Yungshin Volleyball Tournament provides a venue for volleyball lovers to play volleyball and interact with each other.

Many countries play volleyball better than Taiwan; however, no country has consecutively held the volleyball contest open to players at all ages in 19 volleyball courts every autumn for 44 years.

Yungshin was awarded Gold Award of 2016 Sports Activists Awards by Sports Administration for promoting the excellent sports platform in Taiwan.
