Pharmaceutical Quality Upgrade - PIC/S GMP Compliant Pharmaceutical Factory Commendation

Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) held the "Pharmaceutical Quality Upgrade - PIC/S GMP Compliant Pharmaceutical Plants Commendation Ceremony" today (December 7th) at the International Conference Center,  National Taiwan University Hospital. The ceremony recognized Taiwanese pharmaceutical manufacturers that have fully complied with the international PIC/S GMP standards. Deputy Director-General  Mei-Ling Hsiao presented the awards, expressing high respect and recognition for their long-term commitment and outstanding achievements in improving drug safety and quality in Taiwan. President Ma also sent a contratulatory message, expressing sincere congratulations and encouraging all award winners to uphold the principle of continuous improvement and contribute to improving the health and well-being of the Taiwanese people.

The event concluded successfully amidst the applause and blessings of approximately 250 guests. The 32 pharmaceutical companies, recognized for their pioneering PIC/S GMP certification, overcame numerous challenges to achieve this remarkable feat, deserving strong recognition. We hope they will serve as leaders to guide more local pharmaceutical companies to accelerate their pace and catch up, allowing Taiwanese consumers to enjoy the same quality medications as those in advanced countries. The government and industry can work together to create a safer pharmaceutical environment and forge a more ambitious blueprint for the biotech industry.
